ANGELO GALASSO: A HISTORY OF STYLE

Angelo Galasso, born in 1959 in Puglia, Italy, has achieved international success thanks to his unique style. As he was growing up, Angelo's father told his son not to play in the streets for fear that he would fall in with the wrong crowd. Instead, he encouraged him to make friends with the local artisans who hod workshops along the main street. The tailor, the shirt maker, the trouser maker and the cobbler all welcomed him into their shops, where Angelo started to become familiar with fabrics and clothes, colours and proportions. He came to understand the immense value of the artisan trades, carried out by skilled workers, who passed their knowledge on from generation to generation, making the finest garments and items along the way.

In 2009 ANGELO GALASSO was launched and the first House opened in London's Knightsbridge, heart of the capital's fashion scene. The Milano House opened in 2011 in Via Montenapoleone quickly followed by New York in 2012, where ANGELO GALASSO took over the Edwardian room in the Plaza. The Moscow House opened shortly after GALASSO was launched, in collaboration with Moscow’s State Historical Museum.
